Mumbai, June 9: A joyful moment for one of the Mumbai based couple as they both cleared their SSC exams together, declared on Friday. According to a news report in The Times of India, the couple named Siddharth Gaikwad, 37-year-old and Vijeta Gaikwad, 30- year-old, both husband and wife have passed this year class 10th exams, after burning the midnight oil. Both were the students of a night school named Gurunath Night school of Sion, and their hard work pays off. The couple managed to secure 40 percentage, and 56 percentage in their SSC exams result. Now their achievement is inspiring many other especially those who were unable to complete their schooling for some reasons.

Siddharth was quoted as saying, "I worked as a security supervisor in a city hotel and realised that the prospects in that life were dim. Wherever you go in today’s day and age, everyone asks for qualifications and whether we know how computers."

He further added getting an education will be an added advantage for his daughters since they are still in school. His daughters are in class five and seven reportedly. Meanwhile, he also spoke about the importance of education in his life. Now the couple plans to join college and decided to take further education. Vijeta was quoted as saying, “We plan to do college now and join a computer course.”

Gaikwad family hails from drought-prone Beed region of Maharashtra and belongs to a farmers family. The duo could not complete their schooling earlier due to the poor financial background.
