Lucknow, June 26: Tanvi Seth aka Sadia Anas' passport is likely to be revoked as the address submitted in her application was found incorrect on police verification, said Lucknow SSP Deepak Kumar.

According to the police, Sadia was not residing at her in-laws house, located in Qaiserbagh region. Instead, her call detail records have revealed that she has been living in Noida.

"In our investigation, we found out that Tanvi Seth has not been staying at the current mentioned address for a year. We have sent our report to the Regional Passport Office, further investigation will be done by them," said Kumar.

The SSP said their inquiry has revealed that Sadia has not been residing at her in-laws' home for the past one year. The police said the Regional Passport Office is likely to take action against her for misleading the authorities.

The controversy around Sadia's passport application erupted on June 21, after she alleged that the passport officer, Vikas Mishra, asked her husband to "convert to Hinduism" for getting the passport application approved.

Mishra was immediately transferred from Lucknow to Gorakhpur for his "inappropriate behaviour". The official is also facing a departmental inquiry.

The passport, meanwhile, was issued to the couple on June 22. The move drew flak as experts pointed out that due norm was not followed by the authorities -- police verification normally precedes issuance of the passport.
