Lucknow, June 22: Post the furore over passport being denied to a Hindu wife and a Muslim husband because of their religion, here comes another twist in the tale. Social media is being flooded with stories of how the couple faked their documents and created the scene to get the passport.
After Tanvi Seth shared her ordeal on social media and tagged External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, MEA intervened and asked Lucknow Passport Seva Kendra to issue a passport to the couple immediately. The concerned passport officer Vikas Mishra was transferred with immediate effect. RSS leader Rajiv Tuli has demanded justice for the officer and has asked Sushma Swaraj to make a proper investigation into the case because people are playing their 'victim' card.
On social media, people have shared that Tanvi Seth aka Sadia Anas was working in Dell & US had denied H1 visa to her due to old passport name Sadia Anas Siddiqui so she created drama to get new passport with Hindu name.
If same Shadia Anas goes & blows something or commits jihad, the system will be questioned as to how she got #passport. She got it because MEA in its overzealousness became spineless to accommodate wrong documents. https://t.co/RIusyl0wJc

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy too has questioned the issuance of passport to the couple and took to Twitter to ask people if the news of Sadia Anas being denied H1 Visa because she bore an Islamic name is true or not.
Is it true Sadia Anas was denied H1 Visa because she bore an Islamic name? PTs check and inform me.

RSS leader Rajiv Tuli has further requested External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to give Vikas Mishra a chance to explain his side of the story.

On Wednesday, the passport officer had refused to grant Tanvi a passport because she was married to a Muslim and had not changed her surname. Her husband's passport was not renewed either, and it was kept on hold. The officer in question reportedly told Tanvi's husband Anas to convert to Hinduism and 'take pheras' for his passport to be renewed.
Vikas Mishra has however denied saying any such things to Anas and said that he acted completely as per the rules and referred the matter to the seniors. He has accused the couple of lying, and since they were in Lucknow for just a day, they got agitated, when things didn't work as per they had planned.
