Gurunath Waman Lasne, Thane BJP Vice President, Dies in Road Accident in Bhiwandi

Thane, August 28: Gurunath Waman Lasne, vice-president of Thane district's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit, died after his car was hit by a speeding private bus near Saravali village in Bhiwandi. According to an ANI report, the driver of the bus is absconding. Police have registered a case and an investigation has started. The incident took place at around 6:00 pm on Monday when Lasne was travelling in his WagonR car.

As per a Hindustan Times report, the Kongaon police said the accident was caused because the bus hit one of the many potholes on the road and collided with the car.
