Gandhinagar, June 10: The Bharatiya Janata Party MP Liladhar Vaghela's grandson Ajay Vaghela has joined Congress. It seems the grandson is not following his grandfather's footsteps as instead of joining BJP he opted Congress, giving a significant blow to BJP for sure.

Liladhar Vaghela hails from Patan Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat. Interestingly BJP is gearing up for upcoming 2019 elections and also held a meeting just a week before. In the meeting, it was decided by the high command that they are no mood to repeat the faces on more than ten seats. Therefore there is a buzz that sitting MPs like Liladhar Vaghela and others like LK Advani, Paresh Raval, Vitthal Radadiya, Dr Kirit Solanki, Naran Kachhadiya, Jayshri Patel, and many others who may not get tickets to contest upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Ajay Vaghela has joined Congress youth wing. According to sources, he will help the party to reach out to youth voters. In 2014, youths played a significant role to bring BJP in power. Following the same strategy, Congress is also making its youth wing stronger in different states, ahead of 2019 elections.
