Gujarat Horror: Class 10 Student Accused of Murdering Junior Arrested in Vadodara
According to the students, the victim and accused were involved in a dispute which could had led to the murder. The exact cause would be determined after interrogation, the police said.
Vadodara, June 23: The Gujarat Police on Friday arrested the Class 10 student who is charged of murdering his junior. The accused was held last night in Vadodara, shortly after the dead body of the 14-year-old was recovered from his school.
The investigators had zeroed-in on the role of the 15-year-old in his junior's murder based upon the statements recorded by four students of the school who had spotted him stabbing the Class 9 boy, commissioner of police Manoj Shashidhar said.
The deceased's body bore the marks of 15 stabbings, with a 12-inch long knife found aside the corpse.
From the terrace of a temple located close to the school, the police recovered the bag of the accused, which had three knives, along with a bottle containing red-chilli powder mixed with water.
According to the students, the victim and accused were involved in a dispute which could had led to the murder. The exact cause, however, would be determined after interrogating the Class 10 student, the police chief said.
The victim, said a school administrator, had enrolled in the institution in this academic year, which began a fortnight ago.
The case has uncanny resemblance with the murder of a 7-year-old student in Ryan International School of Haryana's Gurugram. A Class-11 student of the same school was held for his murder. The trial is underway.
