Gorakhpur, July 18: A 30-year-old allegedly strangled his mother in Sonbarsa village, about 20 km from Gorakhpur in the most gruesome manner over a property dispute. According to a Hindustan Times report, after the son came to know that his mother had sold a plot of land to fund his father's treatment, he allegedly tied her hands, and then brutally thrashed her with an iron rod before strangulating her.
Reportedly, the deceased's daughter in her complaint claimed that her brother had pierced his mother's eyes with some pointed object after killing her before fleeing the spot. Police have arrested the accused Makardhawaj Yadav, his wife Sumitra Devi and his brother-in-law, Basant Yadav.
On that fateful night, when the son demanded money from his mother, she didn't have any. This led to an argument between the woman and her son. Later in the night, he attacked his mother, when she was sleeping.
