Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Pannalal Shakya is in the midst of a new controversy. According a report on ANI, addressing at an event in Guna district, he has asked women to remain infertile, rather than giving birth to such kids who are not 'sanskari', and who deform the society.

According to the report he said, "Congress came up with slogan of 'Gharibi Hatao' but instead wiped out the poor.There are women who give birth to such leaders. Women should rather remain infertile than produce kids who are not 'sanskari' and who deform society." He further said that whenever we read about a positive incident, we equate the mother of the concerned person with Kaushalya, who gave birth to Lord Ram.

This is not the first time, that the motor mouth leader has stoked controversy. He had earlier said “Why do girls make boyfriends? If they stop doing this, the atrocities against them will stop." He had further said that boys should not fall for the modern culture of making girl friends.

Shakya had also slammed Virat Kohli previously, and had questioned on their wedding venue decision. As quoted in a report he said, "Virat had made money here (in India) and splurged millions of rupees in Italy on his wedding."
