Gas Leak in Unnao Factory: 3 Dead, Injured Undergoing Treatment

Earlier this month, six people died and five were injured after a poisonous gas leaked from a steel plant in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district.

Unnao, July 30: In an unfortunate incident, three people have died after gas leaked in a factory in Unnao. According to an ANI report, Amit Kumar, Emergency Medical Officer said, 'Bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem, two people have got injured and are currently undergoing treatment." More details on the same are awaited.

Earlier this month,  six people died and five were injured after a poisonous gas leaked from a steel plant in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district. The gas leak was reported at Gerdau Steel India Limited in Tadepatri of Anantapur district, as reported by ANI.

The incident of gas leak occurred while testing was being done after maintenance work in the unit, District Superintendent of Police G Ashok Kumar told PTI. The cause of the poisonous gas leak was not immediately known.
