Puducherry, October 2: The Gandhi Jayanti celebrations were spoiled in Puducherry after a verbal spat broke out between Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi and an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) MLA. The event in which the drama unfolded was to declare Puducherry as an open defecation free state. The video has been caught on camera. According to a Times Now report, MLA Anbalagan reportedly lost his cool and started shouting at Kiran Bedi after his mic was allegedly switched off during his speech slamming the Puducherry administration over several issues. The MLA claimed that it was done at the orders of Bedi, and that is the reason he is seen arguing violently with the LG.
