According to reports, the exams were conducted inhouse by IndiGo in the presence of DGCA as the invigilator. The minimum marks required to clear the exam is 70 percent. While the pilots were hunting for answers, the DGCA recorded the incident as proof.
After Jet Airways had suspended its flight operations in April, these pilots had joined IndiGo. However, the airline doesn't operate Boeing 737 aircraft, so the pilots had to undergo- 'type rating'. It is a certification given by the regulator to fly special aircrafts-in this case- A320. Only after the successful completion of the examination and training, they are authorised to fly the aircraft.
