Former Jayalalitha aide VK Sasikala's Husband M Natarajan Passes Away

Jailed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala's husband M Natarajan passed away at a hospital in Chennai early today morning.

Jailed AIADMK leader and former Jayalalitha aide VK Sasikala's husband M Natarajan passed away at a hospital in Chennai at around 1.35 am this morning. Natarajan, 76, died due to a result of a severe chest infection leading to multiple organ failure.

In a statement released by the Gleneagles Global Hospital where he was admitted, doctors said," It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the sad demise of Mr. Natarajan Maruthappa at 1.35 am today (20.3.2018). Every possible clinical attempt was made to sustain his revival. However, despite our best efforts he was unable to recover."

Natarajan, was admitted to the intensive care unit, Gleneagles Hospital on March 16 with severe chest infection and was on put on ventilator support. His condition had turned critical on March 18 following severe chest infection, the doctors treating him had said. Natarajan, a chronic liver disease patient had also undergone a liver and kidney transplant last year but had recovered completely.

Sasikala, who is currently lodged in central prison in Bengaluru serving a four-year imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case, had visited Natarajan after being released on parole on March 18.
