Fake Currency Racket: Malayalam TV Actress Surya Sasikumar, Her Sister & Mother Arrested in Kochi

A Malayalam television actress Surya Sasikumar, her sister, Shruthi and their mother Rema Devi were arrested in connection with the seizure of counterfeit notes with a value of Rs 57 lakh from their residence at Kollam. According to a DNA report, the mother of the actress was main kingpin the case. All the accused have been taken to Kattapana in Idukki district.

According to the report, the woman allowed the upper portion of her residence to be used for illegal activity. She had also financed the cost for printing by spending about 4.36 lakh, and the deal was that she would get half the share of the profit. Idukki Police chief K B Venugopal as spoken to PTI said, "Fake currency notes in various stages of printing and materials, which can be used for printing the fake notes, to the tune of Rs 7 crore, were also seized from their residence at Kollam."
