Etah, April 17: While, the entire nation is still fuming with anger over the Unnao rape, Kathua and Surat rape and murder cases, a similar incident has come to the front, where a 8-year old has been raped and murdered in Etah, Uttar Pradesh. As per reports, the minor was strangled to death after rape under Kotwali police station area. Reportedly, the girl was lured from a marriage ceremony near Mandi Samiti in Shitalpur area on Sunday and the body was recovered on Monday. According to ANI, the accused has been arrested and further probe is going on.

In connection with the Unnao rape case, the victim's statement was recorded before special CBI magistrate on Monday. In the Kathua Rape and murder case, the victim's father had requested the Supreme Court to shift trial from Kathua to Chandigarh. There has been nation wide protests, candle-light marches and celebrities voicing their opinion, all demanding stringent action against the accused. However, time and again, these incidents of violence against minor girls and women are coming to the front. The rise of such incidents not only makes us question the law and order of our country, but also makes us wonder how low can we stoop next?
