J&K Sopore: Two Terrorists Neutralised by Security Forces, 1 Indian Soldier Martyred in Ongoing Encounter
As per reports, two to three militants are trapped inside the house
Jammu & Kashmir, October 26: An encounter between terrorists and security forces is underway in North Kashmir's Sopore. According to the latest update, two terrorists have been neutralised, and one soldier is killed in the ongoing encounter. The deceased soldier has been identified as Lance Naik Brajesh Kumar who lost his life in an encounter, earlier today. Internet services have been suspended as a precautionary measure. On Thursday, terrorists open fired on the army camp at around 8:35 pm in the Tral area of South Kashmir. In the attack, two soldiers injured were evacuated to army’s 92 base hospital Badamibagh, Srinagar. One of them succumbed to the injuries. The army retaliated with heavy firing. The Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed the responsibility for the attack. Earlier in the day, in two separate encounters, six terrorists were neutralised by the security forces in the Kashmir valley.
The four terrorists were killed in Bijbehara's Arwani in Anantnag district, while the remaining two were gunned down in Baramulla district.
