Students who are interested in teaching jobs, brace yourself! The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) will release the admit card for the UP-State Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) today, October 30. After much wait, the students who fall under the eligible categories for the entrance exam, will be able to download their call letters from the official website; upbasicduboard.gov.in. The hall tickets link will be available on the site for students till the entrance exam date which is November 18. But, the candidates must hurry up and do the needful soon to avoid the last-minute rush.
UPTET is a qualifying exam for hiring teachers in the government primary and upper primary schools. This year, as per various media outlets, the Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) has rejected as many as 44,000 applications because of ineligibility and duplicity. The online registrations which began from September 18, saw server, collapsed twice during the process. Hence, the government had to introduce new web addresses and extend the deadline three times for the convenience of the students. About 18,25,036 students have applied for UPTET 2018.
How to download UPTET 2018 Admit Card?
1. Visit the official website of UP Basic Education Board; upbasicduboard.gov.in.
2. Click the UPTET 2018 Admit Card link available on the homepage.
3. Submit the necessary details such as UPTET registration number and date of birth.
4. UPTET 2018 Admit Card will appear on your computer screen.
5. Check all the mentioned details correctly. In case of any discrepancy, contact the authorities immediately.
6. Download and take a print out of the call letters for the future reference.
UPTET 2018 Exam Paper Pattern
UPTET will be conducted as two separate papers; Paper 1 and Paper 2. The first paper is for candidates applying for the appointment of a teacher from class 1 to 5 and the second paper is for candidates applying for teaching job from grade 6 to 8. The exam will be conducted in an offline mode, and both the papers have 150 objective-type multiple choice questions. The level of question varies for both the papers and there are four-five sections for students to cover.
Paper 1 sections include questions from Child Development and Methodology and Pedagogy, Language 1 (Hindi), 2nd Language (any from English, Urdu & Sanskrit), Mathematics and Environmental Studies. On the other hand, Paper 2 consists of questions from Child Development, Learning & Pedagogy (Compulsory), 1st Language (Hindi), 2nd Language (any from English, Urdu & Sanskrit) and Mathematics & Science, Social Studies/ Social Science.
TET has become compulsory to crack for students who aspire to become a government teacher in both primary and upper primary levels. After qualifying the exams, the students will be eligible for five years from the date of passing to apply for teaching jobs.
