Applicants who aspire to become a teacher must note that the last date to deposit the fee for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2018 is today; October 9. Those who are yet to complete the application process must hurry up and do the same by visiting the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board; upbasiceduboard.gov.in. The decision to extend the application fee payment date came in after students on October 7 faced issues while completing the registration process, due to technical glitches. It was reported that the UP Basic Education Board authorities rectified the same. But it appears that the board did not want to take any chances with the application fee payment. Hence, two additional links for UPTET 2018 online payment have been activated on the official website. The candidates can use any of the links to finish their registration procedure. Since today is the last date to make the payment, the candidates are advised to keep their calm in case if they face any issues and try again later.
So far, the UPTET 2018 witnessed a registration of 22.77 lakh aspiring teachers. This year has recorded the highest number of applicants since the exams started in 2011. The form filling process began on September 17 and had been bared by technical snag a number of times forcing the UP government to come up with immediate solutions; new web addresses and extension of the date. TET all over has become compulsory for candidates to clear who teaching jobs at both primary and upper primary levels. Besides for the November exam, the conducting body will release the admit card on October 19 from noon onwards.
