UPSC Recruitment 2017 Result: Final Selection List for CDS Exam (I) is Declared at upsc.gov.in
A total of 232 candidates have qualified after appearing the exams and interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Defence Ministry. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final selection list for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2017 on its official website upsc.gov.in. A total of 232 candidates have qualified after appearing the exams and interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Defence Ministry. Nipurn Datta holds the 1st rank among boys and Shruti V Shrikhande secured the top position among girls. The exam was held for the admissions to the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
The government notified 225 vacancies for 107th Short Service Commission Course (for men) and 11 vacancies for 21st Short Service Commission Women (non-technical) Course; commencing in April 2018.
UPSC further announced that the results of Medical Examination have not been taken into account while preparing the merit list. Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these candidates will be done by the Army Headquarter.
How to check UPSC CDS Examination (I) 2017 Merit List?
1. Visit the official website gov.in.
2. Click the link that states ‘Final result: CDS (I), 2017 OTA’.
3. A PDF file will be open displaying the names and roll numbers of the qualified candidates.
4. Take a print out of the same for future purposes.
The marks of the candidates will be available on the official website after 15 days from the date of declaration of the results. The list containing the marks will be available for 30 days on the Commission’s website. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional.
