The calendar provides important dates for the commencement and duration of each exam, although the UPSC has indicated that these dates may be subject to change if necessary.

UPSC Civil Services Mains 2024: Key Details

Following the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examinations 2024, held on June 16, 2024, the UPSC is gearing up for the Civil Services Mains Examination 2024. More than 1.34 million candidates appeared in the preliminary exams across two shifts—General Studies and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The results, announced on July 1, 2024, revealed that 14,627 candidates had qualified for the Mains.

The UPSC Civil Services Mains Examination 2024 is scheduled from September 20 to 29, 2024. The exams will be conducted in two sessions daily: the morning session from 9 AM to 12 PM and the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Candidates are advised to stay prepared and follow the official instructions as they approach the Mains examination dates.
