UPSC Declares Civil Services Main Result 2018, Download Receipts From upsc.gov.in
Approximately 782 vacancies are to be filled based on the civil services examination 2018 results.
New Delhi, December 20: The Union Public Service Commission declared the results for Civil Services Mains 2018. Candidates appeared for the premier most exam of the country can download the results from the official websites – upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. As per the official information, the selected candidates will have to appear for the personality test, tentatively scheduled to begin from February 4 onwards.
UPSC conducted the main examination for the Civil Services from September 28 to October 7, 2018. According to the official procedure, the selected candidates will have to bring their original certificates to support their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and other documents at the time of their personality test. The selected candidates under the reserved categories – SC/ST/OBC and PwD certificates and TA Form, etc. – can download the requisite forms from the website of the commission. Along with the results, the e-Summon letter, or the admit card of the personality test of candidates, being called for the interview, will be available for download from January 8 onwards from the commission’s website mentioned above.
Earlier, the commission had declared the result of the civil services preliminary examination on July 14, 2018, which was conducted on June 3, 2018. The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Exam in three stages, preliminary, main and interviews annually.

Step 1: Visit the official websites of UPSC – upsc.gov.in, upsconline.nic.in
Step 2: Find the link ‘UPSC Civil Services results 2018’ on the homepage and click on it.
Step 3: A pdf file will open displaying roll number of the qualified candidates.
Step 4: Download the result. Print out for future references.
As per the notification, approximately 782 vacancies are to be filled based on the civil services examination 2018 results. The posts include for PH category (27) – LDCP (7), B/LV (8), HI (12). In 2017, UPSC had released notification to recruit around 980 officers – lowest in the past five years.
