New Delhi, May 7: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for the Civil Services preliminary exam 2018. The candidates who have registered for the Preliminary exam can download the admit card by visiting the official website at upsc.gov.in.
Steps for downloading the admit card for the Union Public Service Commission Preliminary Exam 2018:
1.) Candidates should visit the official website of the service commission website- upsc.gov.in.
2.) The admit card link is displayed on the website. Candidates should click on the link.
3.) Once the link opens, candidates should enter their details such as registration number and details asked in the space given.
4.) The admit card will be displayed online.
5.) Candidates are advised to take a printout of the hall ticket and keep it for future reference.
The UPSC rules make it mandatory for the candidates appearing for exam to carry their hall ticket to the exam center.
A notification issued on the the official website guides students and tells them to refrain from downloading the e- admit card on their mobile phones and recommends use of Windows OS on Desktop.
The civil services examination is conducted every year by the UPSC. The exams are in 3 stages: Preliminary, Mains and the interview stage. The top candidates with highest score are selected as officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others administrative posts.
