Mumbai, September 25: The Union Public Service Commission on Thursday declared the result of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020 on its official website upsc.gov.in. As many as 761 candidates cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020. Shubham Kumar from Bihar topped the exam. Jagrati Awasthi and Ankita Jain secured second and third position respectively in the list of toppers. Among the UPSC toppers is IAS topper Tina Dabi's sister Ria Dabi. She secured 15th position. Tina, who was the topper of the 2015 batch, is currently posted as Joint Secretary Finance (Tax) to the Rajasthan government. A total of 761 selected candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central services.

Of the total selected candidates, 183 belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. A total of 229 candidates from Other Backward Class (OBC) category cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020. A total of 31 Muslims cracked the prestigious exam.

The UPSC conducted the Mains written exam from January 8 to January 17. Prior to the Mains written exam, a preliminary test was held in October 2020. Following the Mains, 2,046 candidates were shortlisted for the interview, which was held from August 2 to September 22.
