Lucknow, October 11: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the final result for Provincial Civil Service (PCS) exam result 2017. Amit Shukla, a 28-year-old student from Pratapgarh, has topped the UPPSC PCS examination in Uttar Pradesh. The topper is the son of a health worker at a private diagnostic centre in Pratapgarh. The other candidates include Anupam Mishra of Allahabad, who bagged the second slot, while Meenakshi Pandey ranked third. Candidates can check the UPPSC PCS 2017 final result on the official website i.e. uppsc.gov.in. The result will be available on the website till November 9, 2019.
As per the notification issued on the website, a total number of 676 candidates have been declared selected for officer rank posts in various departments of Uttar Pradesh. The exam was conducted from June 18 to July 6, 2018. A total of 14,032 candidates had appeared for 677 vacancies. UPPSC PCS 2019 Pre Exam Result Released at uppsc.nic.in.

- Candidates need to visit the official UPPSC website - uppsc.up.nic.in
- Go to ‘Information Bulletin’ on the right column on the website.
- Click on the link for list of selected candidates for combined staff/upper subordinate (PCS) examinations 2017.
- The list of the selected candidates will appear.
- Download and save the list for future reference.
According to reports, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) declared the results on Thursday. Shukla attributed his success to his mother, Sushma Singh, a nurse with a village health centre and his father, Umakant, who toiled to fund his BTech course in 2014. Meanwhile, Meenakshi Pandey who is a topper in women's category and overall third topper, also belongs to Pratapgar. Pandey struggled hard for six years to become deputy collector.
