Meerut, April 24: In a shocking incident, a Class 10 student from Meerut collapsed and had to be admitted to the ICU after scoring an impressive 93.5% in his UP Board exams. The UP Board announced the results for Class 10 and Class 12 on Saturday, with pass percentages of 89.55% and 82.60% respectively.

India Today reported that 16-year-old Anshul Kumar, a student from Maharishi Dayanand Inter College Modipuram, Meerut, fainted upon seeing his exceptional score. His father, Sunil Kumar, a contract worker at the post office, described the distressing incident. According to his cousin, Pushpendra, Anshul stabilised soon after. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) declared results for Class 10th and 12th on Saturday. Pass percentage of 89.55% was registered for Class 10 and 82.60% for Class 12.

The toppers of UP UP Board 10th, 12th examinations belong to same school- the Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College at Mahmudabad, Sitapur. Prachi Nigam topped the Class 10th board exam after securing 591/600 i.e. 98.50 per cent while Shubham Verma scored the highest 489 out of 500 i.e. 97.80 per cent in the Class 12th board exam.
