The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) also known as Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UPSEB) begins the board examinations starting from February 6, 2018. According to media reports, out of the total number of students, about 33,55,691 will appear for class 10 exam whereas 29,81,387 will sit for class 12 exam. Due to the high number of candidates, the board has taken extra measures for a smooth conduct of the examinations.
The officials notified class 10 exam will end on February 22, while class 12 students will be over with the exam on March 12. It is for the first time that CCTV cameras have been installed in all the examination centres. The reason as per stated by the board is majorly to keep an eye on mass cheating. The examinations will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session is scheduled for 7:30 to 10:45 am. The afternoon session is scheduled between 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm.
Here are few important instructions that students are recommended to follow during these coveted examinations:
1. Try to reach the exam centre a little early than the set time in order to avoid the last-minute rush.
2. Aadhaar Card is mandatory to get entry in the examination hall.
3. Students are also required to carry a printed copy of their original Admit Card.
4. The Yogi Adityanath-government and Secondary Education Department have even issued a helpline WhatsApp number to register cheating complaints. You can reach at 9454457241 and 0522 – 2236760.
The total number of students enrolled in the examination makes Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board one of the largest conducting board in the country. This year nearly 67 lakh students have registered for Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations. The exam will be held at 8,549 centres across the state.
