Mumbai, May 11: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the UGC NET June 2024 exam registration date. As per the official notification, candidates can submit the online application form for the UGC NET 2024 exam by May 15. Those interested in applying for the UGC NET June 2024 examination can do so by visiting the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Candidates must note that the examination fee can be paid from May 16 to May 17. On the other hand, the corrections window will open on May 18 and close on May 20. The agency has also postponed the UGC NET June 2024 exam date. The UGC NET June 2024 examination will now be conducted on June 18 instead of June 16. Steps to Apply for UGC NET June 2024:
- Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage click on the "UGC NET June 2024" link.
- Register using your login details.
- Fill out the application form.
- Pay the application fee.
- Click on submit.
- Take a printout for future reference.
Applicants must note that the application fee for General, Unreserved positions is Rs 1150/, while for SC/ST/PwD and Third Gender, it is Rs 325. Candidates can pay the application fee online using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Why Was the UGC NET Exam Date Revised?
The NTA revused the UGC-NET Exam Date from June 16 to June 18 to avoid clash with UPSC preliminary exam. "The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from 16 June (Sunday) to 18 June 2024 (Tuesday) because of feedback received from candidates. NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day," UGC Chairman, M Jagadesh Kumar said in a post on X.
The UGC NET exam will be conducted in 83 subjects in OMR (Pen & Paper) mode. The UGC NET exam will consist of two papers with both papers having objective type and multiple choice questions.
