Engineering is one of the most coveted and followed sector with lakhs of aspirants across the developing nation. Every year lakh of students appear for various entrance examinations in India, like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT and other state-level tests to get admissions in the reputed Engineering Institutes. While only a handful number of students make it to the top 100 engineering colleges in the country. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) every year will rank the top 100 Institutes who strives to produce outstanding candidates who will make the Indian society progressive and sustainable. The MHRD of the Government of India have listed the top 100 Engineering Institutes for 2018 under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

NIRF India Rankings 2018 were released during the first week of April at their official website, nirfindia.org. There are many reputed and prestigious private and government engineering colleges in India. Here, we have listed the top 10 Institutes as per the NIRF India Rankings 2018 for aspirants who want to pursue engineering courses. Let’s begin!

1. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is one among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research and it is the third time that the Institute has consistently been at the top under NIRF India Rankings. 10. Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, Maharashtra

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on October 1, 1993 by the University of Mumbai.
