The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) declared the Group 4 written examination results on the official website; tnpsc.gov.in. Candidates can check their scores online from the commission’s site using their registration number. This year, the exams were conducted on February 11 in around 7,000 centres in which more than 20 lakh students participated. Soon after, in the second week of February, the TNPSC Group 4 answer key was released. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the TNPSC Group 4 exams, Tamil Nadu will publish a tentative merit list of the same.

As the results are announced, the certificates will be verified, and eligible candidates will be called in for counselling. However, the aspirants will be notified about the counselling through SMS or email and not by post. “The details will be made available on the Commission's website. Applicants will be informed of the above fact only through SMS and e-mail,” reads the TNPSC statement which was released in November last year. At present, the students can only view their marks and rank position with the activated link available on the website.

The written examination comprised of 200 questions for 300 marls testing aspirants’ proficiency in general studies, general aptitude and general Tamil or English. To qualify, a candidate had to score a minimum of 90 marks. TNPSC invited candidates to fill in a total of 9,351 posts in Group 4. The recruitment exam is conducted to select employees for various positions in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service, Tamil Nadu Survey and Land Records Subordinate Service and Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service.
