Chennai, July 10: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai, has officially released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list for 2024 today, July 10. Candidates who have applied can now download the rank list from the official website, tneaonline.org.

The TNEA rank list is prepared by reducing the marks secured by candidates in the prescribed subjects of the qualifying exam to a base of 200, with Mathematics contributing 100 marks and Physics + Chemistry another 100 marks. Steps to Check TNEA 2024 Rank List
- Visit the official website of TNEA at tneaonline.org
- Look out for the link to check TNEA 2024 Rank List on the home page and click it
- A new page appears where candidates need to submit their login credentials
- On submitting the login credentials, rank list will be displayed on the screen
- Verify the details and save the page
- Download the page and take a print out of the same for future needs
Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible for the upcoming counselling process, which will be conducted online. During counselling, candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses. Final seat allotment will follow the publication of the rank list, with selected candidates required to report to the allotted institutes for payment of admission fees.
The counselling process will occur in three online rounds, with candidates participating based on their rank. Each round will include four stages:
- Choice filling
- Allotment
- Confirmation of allotment
- Reporting to the college and payment of fees upon confirmation
Special reservation category counseling for eminent sportspersons, differently-abled candidates, and wards of ex-servicemen will be conducted first online. Simultaneously, general counselling, vocational counselling, and the allocation of 7.5 percent of seats on a preferential basis for students who studied from grades 6 to 12 in state government schools will also be conducted online.
