The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducted a National Qualifier Test (NQT); an online campus hiring initiative on its digital platform TCS iON. With an aim to provide equal job opportunity and identify the brightest engineers for multi-skilled, multi-functional roles, the company conducted the exam on September. The consultancy services on September 26 further confirmed the successful completion of NQT in which they received over 2.8 lakh applicants across 100 cities in 24 states; a massive growth from the past years. Besides, participation from premier instates has risen by 150 per cent, a clear evidence to TCS’ strong academic relationships. This year, TCS has witnessed a 175 per cent increase in test applications compared to last year, it added. The 90-minute NQT included questions from the English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Programming Concepts, and Coding. More than 200 Digital Zones spread across 160 cities, including each of the North Eastern states, were the exam centres. The iON digital assessment platform has assessed more than 115 million candidates over 2,490 examinations held for institutions across India. The company took the route of the online tests to reach a maximum number of colleges and engineering students offering an opportunity to boost their careers with a global IT leader.
