After a long wait, the Directorate of Government Examination, Tamil Nadu has finally released the date sheet for the class 10 and 12 board exam 2019. The state board students can now check the detailed timetable available online at dge.tn.gov.in or contact their schools to avail the same. According to the Tamil Nadu board examination 2019 schedule, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) class 12 exam will begin from March 1 for new and old pattern examinations. The Directorate of Government Examinations has changed the examination pattern for the upcoming class 12 board examination for all the subjects. It shall be noted that earlier in Section A, the Tamil Nadu board use to ask multiple choice-based questions. But as per the new pattern, these MCQs will be replaced with Fill in the blanks, assertion-reason, match the following and other similar questions, all of which will carry one mark.

Meanwhile, for class 10, the board has not made any changes in the paper pattern. The Tamil Nadu board will conduct the examinations from March 14 to 29. According to the schedule, the first and last exams will be Language Paper 1 and Social Science respectively. Apart from the time table, the Tamil Nadu board has also mentioned the result declaration date. As of now, it has been decided tentatively that the Tamil Nadu Board result for class 10 will be declared on April 29 and HSC class 12 on April 19, 2019.
