Swayam App: How to Use The Learning Application & Sign in to Swayam.gov.in For School to Post- Graduate Courses
The Swayam initiative has about 2000 courses and 80000 hours of learning: covering school, undergraduate, post-graduate, engineering, law and other professional courses.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development has started an initiative 'Swayam' to make education available and easily accessible to anyone, even the most disadvantaged. It aims to make the best of teaching resources to everyone. For students who have remained untouched by the digital revolution, Swayam seeks to bridge that gap. The platform hosts all the courses from 9th class till post-graduation, easily accessible to anyone, anywhere. Any user must first register on Swayam.gov.in to use the application.
These are interactive courses and are made available at free of cost on the application. The courses are divided into 4 parts- video lectures, reading material that can be downloaded, self-assessment tests and online discussion forums for clearing doubts. To give an enriching experience, audio-video and multi-media are used. Thos who are looking for certificate courses will be charged a little fee.
Here is how to use the Swayam App:
- Go to Play Store and download the application. It is a free application.
- You will have to make a new user id to register yourself on the app. You will have to register yourself on the Swayam website.
- The registration is simple, you will need a username and password
- You will then get an option to select the courses. If you have registered then you will see the notifications related to it.
- You can also select from the many available courses using the option 'Discover.'
- You can type your interests in the tab- Management, Engineering, Arts etc.
- Once you select the course, you will be presented with all the information, from the institute, when it starts, the curriculum, the language, the duration, along with the exam dates.
- Once you enrol, all the material (reading, learning, videos) will be available to you. You can take time out as per your convenience and start studying.
- So the application ensures your learning process entirely on your smartphone.
