SSC Recruitment Exam 2018: Last Date for Constable GD Application Extended Till September 30; Apply at ssc.nic.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the online application date for recruitment of the Constable General Duty (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2018. According to the recent official notification, the candidates can now submit their application forms till September 30, 5:00 pm. The candidates can read the notice available at ssc.nic.in. Initially, the application process had begun in July but was suspended due to heavy load on the website and was started again on August 17 for which the last date was set as September 17, 2018.  SC Stays Declaration of CGL, CHSL Results 2017, Calls the System Tainted. 

The commission noticed that its new website was running slow to which a few of the candidates even reported inconvenience in submitting their online forms. Taking the technical glitch into consideration and the difficulties faced by some candidates, the Competent Authority decided to extend the closing date for filling up the online application forms. In addition, the payments made through a challan by the aspiring candidates can be made within the working hours of to the designated branches of the State Bank of India (SBI) using the said challan up to October 3, 2018. SSC CGL Recruitment Exam 2018 Eligibility Criteria: Important Notification on Age Limit Released. 

It must be noted that the other terms and conditions of the examination notice uploaded on the website of the commission on July 25, will remain unchanged. Soon after the completion of the application procedure, the commission will announce the exam and result date. The notification for the admit cards will be released 10 days prior to the exam. SSC is conducting the recruitment exams to fill in 54,953 vacancies in the General Duty (GD) constable. The exam mode will be online, and the shortlisted candidates will get salaries to range between Rs. 21,700 to 69,100.
