The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has notified 130 categories of various Group B (Non-Gazetted)/ Group C posts. The total number of vacancies in different Departments/ Organisations stand at 1,136. All those who are interested in securing a government job must read the official advertisement available on the official website; ssc.nic.in. It must be noted that the recruitment for these vacancies fall under different regional offices of SSC, which means that the applicants can apply for multiple posts in multiple regions. “Northern Region of the Commission has 299 vacancies of 36 categories of posts. Region wise details of all Posts/Vacancies in all Regional Offices and detailed Notice/Advertisement can be seen on www.ssc.nic.in and also on the website of Regional offices of SSC,” reads the notification. It is speculated that the announcement came after the central government faced severe criticism for lack of job creation in the country. The online applications for these positions can be filled only in ssconline.nic.in, ssc.nic.in>Notices> Others. Before taking any step, the candidates must read the recruitment advertisement carefully which has all details of post/vacancies, eligibility conditions and procedure to fill the applications.
Meanwhile, SSC is yet to release the exam date for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2018 Tier 1. As per the latest update, the conducting body is expected to announce the dates soon as the preliminary work is nearing completion. Close sources suggested that the delay in the exam dates for SSC CGL Tier 1 is due to lack of examination centres. However, no official statement has yet bee received. Candidates are recommended to keep a tab on SSC’s website to stay updated.
