The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a fresh list that contains 9,551 additional candidates who have qualified the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination (MTS). These candidates were reportedly declared pass after SSC found discrepancies in the earlier declaration of scores. The SSC MTS Paper I 2019 result was announced on November 5, 2019. The list of additional shortlisted candidates was released on the official website of SSC; ssc.nic.in. All those who have participated in the exam are advised to go through the commission’s site once again and find out if they had qualified for Paper-II MTS exam.
During the declaration of SSC MTS Paper 1 2019 result, a total of 1,11,162 candidates were qualified for the next stage exam. According to the official notification published at the SSC's website, the commission identified discrepancies in the following:
- Ex-servicemen candidates eligible for reservation were not considered for selection under ex-servicemen category.
- EWS candidates qualifying at the UR standards have been selected in EWS category whereas they were eligible for selection in UR category.
- The commission has clarified that the candidates shortlisted against the age-group of 18-27 years will also be considered for selection in the age-group of 18-25 years and vice versa in the final result depending upon the age, merit and preference of the candidates.
- Besides, the ex-servicemen candidates who have already joined civil posts by availing benefit of reservation for ex-servicemen will not be eligible for the posts reserved for ex-servicemen according to the provisions of the Notice of Examination.
Hence, corrective measures were taken, and it was found that 9,551 additional candidates are eligible for appearing in the Paper-II for MTS 2019 exam, which is scheduled on November 24, 2019.
