The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 3 descriptive paper to May 2018. The accurate date has not been announced yet. As per earlier reports, the SSC CGL Tier 3 examination was set to schedule on March 31. Interested candidates are recommended to keep an eye on the official website as the date will be notified soon. As the exam dates are pushed till May, aspirants now have more time to prepare for the descriptive test. Reports further suggest that with the exam date being postponed, the result announcement may get delayed.

The CGL 2018 notification which was to be released in April could get delay. SSC is one of the government’s lead body for recruitment. It processes around 38 lakh job applications every year. With the continuous protest by job aspirants alleging to question paper leak, the commission has re-conducted the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam at nearly 174 venues across 61 cities for 35,146 candidates. The average attendance during Paper 1 examination was 92.81 percent, on the other hand, Paper 2 recorded 72.05 percent attendance.

Meanwhile, the commission has agreed to the students demand and recommended a CBI inquiry with the concern on the question paper leak; which the centre later agreed. The SSC aspirants have given the central government a 15-day ultimatum till March 31 to fulfil their demands threatening that they will gherao the parliament.

This is not the first time that the aspirants have been facing problem. Candidates of CGL 2016 and CHSL 2015 complained of not receiving the appointment letters. Nearly 10,661 students who have qualified the exam and were selected for several posts. But the procedure was put on hold since many of the candidates filed a court case claiming that their papers were not checked properly.
