It is the age criteria which has been changed. For this post, this age limit was earlier set to 18-27 years, and it stands, “Not exceeding 30 years.” All the candidates can read the detailed notification on the revised eligibility criteria which is available on SSC’s official website; ssc.nic.in. It is essential for the students to note that the other terms and conditions mentioned in the Notice of the said examination will remain unchanged. In May, the SSC released the official notification for the CGL exam 2018, the applications of which began in June. Going by earlier information, the commission scheduled the exam to start on July 25. But in July, the conducting body postponed the exam dates and said that the new exam dates for SSC CGL Tier 1 would be announced soon. The candidates are still waiting for their admit cards and the exam date.
It will be nearly two months since the commission cancelled the earlier scheduled. On the other hand, the results for SSC CGL and CHSL 2017 has been delayed. The Supreme Court withheld the result announcement by calling the system ‘tainted’ for the commission’s mismanagement and question paper leaks that led the students to protest in streets. The updates regarding the exam and result dates will be provided on SSC’s official web portal only.
