Earlier, the SSC clarified that owing to the CGL 2017 result becoming “sub-judice” immediately after concluding the Tier II exam in February 2018, the selection process has been delayed. The notification for CGLE-17 was released in May 2017. The Tier-I examination was conducted in August 2017. Meanwhile, Tier-II which was scheduled in November, took place in February-March 2018. SSC had conducted the CGLE Document verification and skill test for the eligible candidates from June 16 to July 31, 2019. According to the commission, the evaluation of the Skill Test (CPT and DEST) takes at least 3-4 months.

Here are some of the Tweets:

Retired Indian Army officer Maj Gen Harsha Kakar said, “No result is atrocious at any standard.”

One of the candidates urged the government to release the result.

Twitter user Garima Singh asked the authorities not to harass the candidates anymore.

Another candidate, Rupam Patel who had given the exam, said that the government is mocking the candidates.

The Supreme Court through its interim order in 2018 had placed a temporary ban to the commission from declaring the results. In May this year, the top court reversed its earlier order of placing a temporary ban on declaring the final result of CGL-17. After that, candidates who cleared the Tier-III exam were called for the skill test in June 2019.
