Mumbai, March 20: A case of shocking apathy has emerged from Mumbai's Titwala police station, where a school teacher from Sacred Heart School in Kalyan has been hospitalised after she was made to wait for more than seven hours when she went to the police station to file a complaint. The teacher has been admitted in hospital for hypertension and had gone to the police station to file a complaint about the SSC History Paper leak which took place on Monday.

The Hindustan Times reported that the teacher has been admitted to a private hospital in Kalyan. The teacher had gone to the police station to file  a complaint regarding Monday's SSC History subject paper leak.  Earlier, 15 students were caught with the History and Political Science question paper, which was found in their WhatsApp (group).  The Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary School Education (MSBSHSE) had directed the school to file a complaint with the police in order to look into the matter.

“We do have a copy of the FIR but it does not have the signature of the police in-charge. One of our teachers, who is also the examination conductor at our school, was at the police station on Monday from 3pm until 10 at night. The police made her wait, and asked her random questions. This morning, she received a call from the police station, asking her to come again. The police told her that today also, she would have to wait for another six hours. Due to weakness and hypertension, the teacher had to be admitted to a hospital in Kalyan. We have not received any further information from board officials either on the issue,” Albin Anthony, administrator, Sacred Heart School, said on Tuesday talking to English daily Hindustan Times.

Police inspector, Pradeep Kasbe of Titwala police station said that they had filed the complaint last night and confirmed that some arrests have also been made in the case under the examination malpractices act. On March 16, there were reports about the accountancy paper leak of class 12 in CBSE exam and board had issued strict guidelines for the exams but refused to accept that the paper was leaked.
