The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited eligible candidates to fill up the vacant positions for Probationary Officer (PO) in the organisation. To apply for SBI PO recruitment exam, candidates will have to pay an application fee. For general, EWS, OBC candidates, they need to pay Rs. 750 including intimation charges for the application and Rs. 125 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. Candidates hereby should note that the fee/ intimation charges once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. SBI PO Recruitment Exam 2019: Important Dates
- Date of application: April 2, 2019, to April 22, 2019
- Download of call letters for online SBI PO preliminary examination: 3rd week of May 2019 onwards
- Online preliminary examination: June 8, 9, 15, 16, 2019
- The result of the online preliminary exam: 1st week of July 2019
- Download of call letter for the online main exam: 2nd week of July 2019
- Conduct of online SBI PO main examination: July 20, 2019
- Declaration of result for SBI PO main examination: 3rd week of August 2019

SBI PO Recruitment Exam 2019: Vacancy Details
The total number of openings for SBI PO is 2000, out of which, the number is divided among private and general category candidates.
- Scheduled Caste: 300 posts
- Scheduled Tribe: 150 posts
- Other Backward Classes: 540 posts
- Economically Weaker Sections: 200 posts
- General: 810 posts
The selection process for SBI PO recruitment comprises of three steps: Preliminary, Main Examination and Interview. SBI PO prelims are conducted online and consist of objective questions for 100 marks. Again, the SBI PO main exam consists of objective questions for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. It shall be noted that only the scores obtained in the Main exam (phase II), both in the objective test and the descriptive test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE and Interview (phase III) to prepare the final merit list. To get shortlisted, the candidates will have to qualify both in Phase II and Phase III separately.
