The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released the scores for the Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP), Technician computer-based test (CBT) 2. The final answer keys and question paper with responses is currently available on the official website; rrbcdg.gov.in and other regional RRB sites. Next, the Indian Railways will publish the final RRB ALP, Technician CBT 2 result on April 6, 2019. But days after the Group C exam result announcement, #rrbscam is seen to trend on Twitter. Any guesses, why? No, it is not related to any question paper leaks this time, but the ALP, Technician CBT 2 result 2019, that raised serious concerns among students.

With lakhs of candidates appearing in the RRB recruitment exams every year, the Indian Railways has become the most sought-after destination for job seekers in the nation. As the number of aspirants is only increasing, it is natural to see the competition getting stiffer. To identify the best talent through effective evaluation, the Indian Government recently introduced a formula called "Marks Normalisation." It is this procedure that has confused the RRB ALP, Technician candidates. In the tweets, candidates are seen unhappy with their scores achieved in the CBT 2 examination and raise concern over normalisation process. All They Need is Fair Exam Result

The normalisation mark scheme is introduced for ensuring that aspirants neither benefitted nor deprived by the difficulty level of examination. It is known that RRB conducts recruitment exams on multiple dates and shifts; hence it becomes impossible to have two question sets of the same level in a single shift. Therefore, the authorities conduct the examinations on different dates and shifts with a different RRB question paper. It is because of this, some of the candidates end up attempting a relatively tougher set of questions than their peers who appeared in other sets.

In terms of actual score, the impact of normalisation would lead to lesser marks of candidates who have scored higher in the exam. They would have still cleared the examination, but the concern here is majorly the marks obtained. Candidates who expected higher marks this time, were stunned to see lesser scores in the RRB ALP, Technician CBT 2 result. Through the tweets with #rrbscam, they plea the government to make the normalisation mark scheme more transparent, clear and fair. RRB has not commented anything in this regard.
