The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced more than 1 lakh job posts in Group D cadre. As the recruitment body was gearing up to host the second-stage exam, it was reported that as many as 4 lakh applications were rejected. The reason as cited was because of photographs, signatures not adhering to the prescribed standards. However, many candidates complained that such was not the case and that they followed all the norms while submitting the applications. Now Indian Railways decided to hear the plea and RRC Group D rejected applications will be reviewed. The board further confirmed that the final status of the RRC Group D 2019 applications will be released by August 31, online at rrbcdg.gov.in.
The official notice published at RRB’s website reads, “All the complaints received regarding rejection of applications on grounds of Photographs, Signature etc. are being examined. The final outcome will be intimated to each and every candidate individually through SMS and E-MAIL latest by 31.08.2019.” The board will now go through all the details and will intimate its final decision through SMS and email as mentioned in the notice. All the candidates are advised to keep a tab with RRB official website and regional websites to stay updated with the same. Meanwhile, RRB is yet to declare the first-stage recruitment result 2019 for Junior Engineering recruitment.
RRB released the Group D recruitment 2019 notification was released in March, 2019. The recruitment drive is to hire up to 1,03,769 posts in Assistant (workshop) mechanical, assistant bridge engineering, assistant c & w mechanical, assistant depot (stores) stores, assistant loco shed (diesel) mechanical, assistant loco shed (electrical) electrical, assistant operations (electrical) electrical, assistant pointsman traffic, assistant signal & telecom, assistant track machine engineering, assistant TL & AC electrical, assistant TL & AC (workshop) electrical, assistant TRD electrical, assistant works engineering, assistant works (workshop) engineering, hospital assistant medical and track maintainer grade.
