After a long wait, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the date for Group D recruitment exams on its official website; indianrailways.gov.in. According to the notice, the online computer-based tests (CBT) for Level 1; 62,907 posts will begin from September 17. However, the date stands tentatively as of now, and the Indian Railways will announce the confirmed date ten days before the exam. Besides, the exam city, date and shift details will be made available to the candidates on the website. All the RRB Group D applicants are hence recommended to keep a tab on the railway ministry’s site to stay updated as the detailed CBT schedule will be released soon. The statement available on the website reads; “The Computer Based Tests (CBT) for recruitment of Level 1 posts is likely to start from 17-09-2018. The Exam City, Date and shift details shall be made live 10 days prior to the start of CBT. Detailed CBT schedule shall be released shortly.” It is further recommended to all the students to refer only the official websites of RRBs for all the recruitment related information and not to get distracted by any false claims put on social media or any other platforms. Meanwhile, RRB is conducting the first stage CBT in phases which are next scheduled to be held on August 29, 30 and 31. The call letters for the same is now available for candidates to download. The exams which began on August 9 will soon end on September 4, considering Kerala floods. It can be speculated that the Group D exam dates will only be announced after the commencement of Group C ALP and Technician recruitment exams.
