The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is ready to conduct the first stage computer-based exam for the largest recruitment, Group C, D Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and Technicians. All the students participating in the exam can download the RRB Admit Card which is made available online at indiarail.gov.in from August 5. Along with the hall tickets, the board had also released the schedule of the exam to be held throughout the month. RRB first stage online CBT is slated to begin from August 9. Those who are yet to download their admit card or have any doubt related to it must clarify with the recruitment board. RRB will host the first stage CBT for ALP and Technician recruitment 2018 from August 9 to August 31, 2018. In addition, the candidates must note that admission to the examination hall, without the call letter, is strictly prohibited. Hence, a print out of the same should be kept ready. Over 2.5 crore candidates have applied for 90,000 job vacancies. CEN O1/2018 and CEN O2/2018 is said to be the biggest recruitment drive in the recent times. In fact, tech giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reportedly stepped in, and they will conduct the first stage online CBT on behalf of Indian Railways.
The CBT will be an online test of 90 minutes which will have 100 multiple choice questions. The questions will be comprised of Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness on current affairs will be asked. For each incorrect answer in the CBT, 1/3 of the total marks allotted in that particular question will be deducted. To make it little less stressful, RRB activated a mock test link. Students can test their preparation and also meet the exam like environment before the actual RRB CBT.
