RRB Recruitment 2018: Southern Railway Government Jobs for Class 10th, 12th Pass; Check How to Apply
The filled in application may be sent by ordinary post on or before April 11, 2018. To apply for the available vacancies, a student must be class 10 and 12 pass.
The Southern Railway has released notification for filling 2,652 apprentice posts for various trades. To apply for the available vacancies, a student must be class 10 and 12 pass. The candidates, who are interested in railway jobs, can fill in the application on or before April 11 till 5:15 pm. The applications can be collected from the Chief Work shop Manager’s Office/Signal and Telecommunication (S&T)/Workshop (WS)/Podanur, or Welfare inspector/S&T/WS/PTJ on all working days which are available till April 11. The application can also be downloaded from the official website of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), indianraliways.gov.in.
The posts available in the Southern Railway are: 57 posts for Machinist, 587 posts for Fitter, 30 posts for Turner, 754 posts for Electrician, 24 Posts for Advance Welder, 64 posts for Painter, 112 posts for Electronics Mechanics, 104 posts for Diesel Mechanic, 108 posts for Plumber, 154 posts for Carpenter and 12 posts for Electronics/information Technology. Here are the quick steps to apply for the above posts:
1. Fill in the application form with all the required details.
2. One passport size colour photograph must be pasted on the given space at the application form provided duly attested by the Gazetted officer.
3. The application should be addressed to the Workshop Personnel Officer of Southern Railway, Podanur, Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.
4. The filled in application may be sent by ordinary post or dropped into the sealed box which is available at the S&T/Work shop/Podanur on or before April 11 as “Application for Apprenticeship training Ex.IT/Fresher Trade”.
The notification was issued on March 29, 2018. The age limit for the available posts is between 18 to 24 years. However, there is an age relaxation to all the reserved candidates. For Other Backward Classes (OBC) it is 3 years; for Schedule Caste (SC) or Schedule Tribe (ST) it is 5 years and for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) there is a relaxation of 10 years. The application fee is Rs. 100 and it should be paid through Postal Order (PO) in favour of the Workshop Personnel Officer.
