The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had earlier released notification inviting applicants for the Group C posts on the units of South Central Railway. Indian Railways had already received a number of applications from the interested and eligible candidates for Apprentice for training in various units for Carpenter, Diesel, Mechanic, Electrician and Electronic posts. The RRB issued a notice reminding candidates to apply for Group C 4,103 posts the online applications are closing today, July 17. Those who are still left to apply for the positions must visit the official website of RRB; scr.indianrailways.gov.in to finish the registration process which began in June.

The applicants will have to send the duly filled application to the Deputy Chief Personnel Officer, Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Further, the aspirants must have to qualify the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10th examination with at least 50 per cent marks. Candidates must not be more than 24 years, but the candidates under the reserved categories will have an age relaxation of five years and three years for the Other Backward Class (OBC). The total number of posts varies among AC mechanic, carpenter, diesel mechanic, electrical/ electronics, electrician, electronic mechanic, fitter, machinist, MMW, MMTM, painter and welder.

Recently, the Railway Recruitment Board had made many changes in their job advertisements. There have been a lot of vacancies, and the Indian Railways are inviting eligible candidates to fill in those. RRB further removed the provision of minimum educational qualification for some jobs on compassionate grounds to the employees, who died on the job or retired because of medical reasons. It is important to note that after finishing the application registration, the candidates will receive a confirmed application form which one should download and take a print out to get an entry in the exam hall.
