The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released the section-wise breakup of marks for Group C, D recruitment exams 2018 on its official website; rrbcdg.gov.in. After much of delay, RRB is set to conduct the first stage of the Computer-Based test (CBT) from August 9. The exam will be one hour long, but eligible specially-abled (PWD) candidates will get 80 minutes to answer the questions. In the set time, a total of 75 multiple-choice questions will be asked to candidates in 15 different languages that include Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Assamese, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Tamil and Telugu to guarantee equal opportunities to all the candidates across India.

In Mathematics there will be 20 questions, General Intelligence and Reasoning will have 25 questions, 20 General Science questions and 10 General Awareness and Current Affairs questions in the CBT exam. However, the Chairperson of the Railway Recruitment Board informed that the section-wise distribution provided online is only indicative, and there could be some variations in the actual question papers. At the same time, RRB has also released their online mock test series for students to practise to improve their skill before sitting in the national-level entrance exam. To check the above, the students will have to login into their account.

On the other hand, in a notification published online at the Indian Railways website, the candidates who have applied for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and technician posts can see their city and date intimation and SC/ ST travel pass. The selection procedure for Group C exam includes the first stage CBT test and the qualified ones to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). And for ALP vacancies, after clearing the CBT will have to sit for computer-based aptitude test (AT). A candidate needs to score a minimum of 42 marks in each of the tests to surpass the exams.
