The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) have successfully completed their first stage online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for Group C recruitment this year. After much arrangements and strict measures, the exams were conducted peacefully and even recorded the highest number of participation than the previous years. The Ministry of Railways today tweeted that for 64,037 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician posts, above 47 lakh candidates applied, and the attendance stood at 76.76 per cent in the history of RRBs. In earlier ALP and Technician exams, about 32 lakhs aspirants registered and the turnout in the exam hall was 47.47 per cent. Indian Railways Release Group D Exam Pattern.
The exams which began on August 9 were held in phases, and the admit cards for the same were released four days before the examination day. This year, the Indian Railways has left no stone unturned to protect the competitiveness in the largest recruitment drive.
The attendance this year stood at 76.76 per cent.

The Indian Railways joined hands with tech giant Tata Consultant Services (TCS) to conduct the exams to bring transparency in the government hiring procedures. Besides, RRB also adopted strict measures, for example including equipment to detect Bluetooth (wireless) devices at exam centres, checking Google trends to know if anyone is searching for cheating tips and many more.
The commission was scheduled to conclude the Group C ALP and Technician exams by August 31. However, the massive flood-hit at Kerala had postponed the exams till September 4. Now, RRB is set to host the exams to recruit candidates to fill 62,907 Group D vacancies in which about 1.89 crore applicants will compete. So far, a tentative date has been notified which states the exams to begin from September 17. The students are recommended to keep a tab with the official website of Indian Railways, indianrailways.gov.in to stay updated as the dates will be announced ten days before the commencement of Group D exams.
