An important notification for all the candidates of Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and Technicians has been released by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) on its official website; rrbcdg.gov.in. According to the notice, RRB has extended the last date for selection of now 64,371 vacancies in the Indian Railways. It is notified that the online application portal for candidates to select and modify their eligibility and add educational qualifications in the RRB chose earlier, will be opened again tomorrow, October 1 and the last date for the same has been extended to October 6 from the earlier October 3. RRB Group C ALP, Technician Vacancies Increased; Link for Refund Active. 

The detailed notice is available on the official and regional websites of RRB for the candidates to read. This move has been initiated after many participants in the first stage computer-based test (CBT) have informed that even though they had 10+2 (with Physics and Maths) or additional technical qualifications, they had not put these details at the time of application. This could be beneficial for the candidates, and hence they can add their additional eligibility qualification provided they had acquired them on or before March 31, 2018. Once the educational qualifications are added and confirmed, the candidates will be required to select the RRB, fill priority number for the post preference and select fresh exam trade as per the revision.

It is a one-time opportunity. RRB specified that the applicants could add qualifications or modify the submitted details, only after entering the one-time-password sent to their registered email id and mobile number. The process will be similar for changing bank account details, which has also been extended till October 6. Meanwhile, RRB is conducting recruitment exams for Group D Level 1 posts at various test centres and are releasing the admit cards accordingly.
