RRB ALP & Technician Recruitment 2018: Indian Railways to Reschedule Group C Exam For Kerala Candidates on September 4
About 27,000 aspirants will participate in the examination, and the admit card for the same will be made available for students to download from August 31.
Due to the natural disaster in Kerala, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had to cancel August 9 Group C exams. RRB has now decided to hold the exams again for those who could not appear. According to the latest update, the reschedule dates for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician exams for Kerala candidates have been announced. The Indian Railways will conduct the online computer-based test (CBT) in the state on September 4, 2018. About 27,000 aspirants will participate in the examination, and the admit card for the same will be made available for students to download from August 31. The official release by RRB reads, “The first stage CBT of candidates whose examination had been cancelled on August 9, 2018, candidates of Kerala whose examination had been postponed and eligible candidates whose scheduling has not been released yet has been fixed on September 4, 2018.” The notice informed that SMS and email had been sent to all those students who missed the exam to view their centre, city, date and shift. Besides, the board has also arranged fee travel facility for all the candidates, authority for which shall be available for download along with the exam city, date and shift intimation.
The exams began on August 9 and tests were held in phases on August 13, 14, 17, 20 and 21. With the recent announcement of rescheduling the exams for Keralites, it appears that the first stage exam will not be over on August 31. RRB is yet to announce exam dates for Group D job openings. Meanwhile, at Kerala, lakhs of people are taking shelter at relief camps across the state which has been ravaged by floods following torrential rains in the state. The state and central governments are working towards assessing the damage. Many institutions because of such a disaster had to cancel their recruitment exams.
